An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted Tonga region at 2011-11-13 19:21 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 24.30 km, was initially determined to be at 17.38 degrees south latitude and 172.97 degrees west longitude.
