An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted Solomon Islands at 04:57:13 p.m. Friday (05: 57:13 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 54.10 km, was initially determined to be at 10.6138 degrees south latitude and 161.4151 degrees east longitude. The epicenter is 59 km southwest of Kira Kira of Solomon Islands. But there have been so far no reports of casualties or property damage.
