A light-rail train on a test run crashed into a car in downtown Los Angeles Saturday afternoon, injuring six passengers in the car, police said. A police spokeswoman said a witness reported seeing the car, an apparently new Mercedes-Benz with dealer plates, run a red light about 4:20 p.m. The six people in the car were taken to medical facilities with minor injuries, the Los Angeles Times reported. The train operator sustained minor abrasions, the newspaper said. The train was making a test run on the yet-to-open Expo Line.
