Seven people were killed in a pre-dawn raid on Friday in a village in central Kenya, in what appeared to be the latest attack in a feud over resources between two farming communities. The victims in Isiolo village, about 250 kilometres north of Nairobi, were shot or hacked to death. Police believe the raiders came from a neighbouring area and were repelled before they were able to steal livestock. \"We suspect the killings have something to do with cattle rustling but there has also been animosity between the two communities lately over resources,\" a police official told Capital FM radio in Nairobi. The radio station said village residents were blocking main roads, demanding that the police offer them better protection.
