A boat capsized Friday afternoon off the Guinean capital Conakry, leaving at least eight people dead, official sources said. Around 50 people were on board the vessel sailing off the port of Boulbinet, when the ship sank amid strong winds. Most passengers survived the wreckage with the help of rescuers, according to the Agency of the Maritime Navigation. Guinean President Alpha Conde went to the port for an inspection after the accident and then to the hospital to see survivors.
