Three policemen were killed in an attack, which militants carried out to free their arrested accomplices, on Friday in northern Pakistani city of Peshawar. The incident took place Friday morning on Jamurd Road near Peshawar University. According to a local senior police officer, Hamitullah Khan, a police mobile van was taking two terrorists from the central jail to Dental college when suspected militants attacked them. He said the attack left three policemen killed, adding, the assailants managed to free their two accomplices from police custody. A search operation has been launched to arrest them. This is the third attack on police since yesterday in the city. In two blasts on Thursday, about seven people including five policemen were killed and over thirty-two were wounded.
