Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull announced Tuesday the establishment of a new ministry on combating terrorism.
According to Turnbull, the ministry will group all national intelligence agencies and the Australian Border Force along with national police.
The Australian prime minister said that this step is deemed the biggest security reform measure in more than 40 years in Australia.
In 2014, Australia had raised the level of terror threat alert across the country following a number of terrorist attacks.
