A court martial convicted Lt Commander John Alan Jones on seven counts of committing acts of indecency against the woman, including four occasions when he spanked her. She told the military panel how she still had nightmares about the abuse. The court martial will sentence Jones later. The prosecution is expected to ask for a custodial sentence. Each charge carries a maximum of five years in jail. The woman had secretly recorded some of the abuse. In the recordings, he told her the spanking was for her own good and would teach her obedience. The abuse took place during 2010 on a ship that they both served on, and at Jones\'s private residence in Western Australia.
