A bomb went off in Itahari city in the eastern part of Nepal Saturday morning as a disposal team of the Nepal Army was preparing to dispose the bomb.Superintendent of Police Raju Manandhar along with six other locals were injured during the blast.Talking to Xinhua over phone, Inspector Sagar Thapa in Itahari said that although the blast was claimed by Sanyukta Jatiya Mukti Morcha Khumbuwan, an underground group, investigation is underway. \"Two people in a motorcycle placed the bomb there. When we were reported of it we called the disposal team but it went off as they were trying to dispose the bomb,\" according to Thapa.The injured are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.According to Thapa, the situation of one of the injured is critical.
