Security forces on Saturday arrested a businessman involved in assaulting a family of a retired army general in their house in New Cairo over a dispute between them.

The ex-officer had filed a complaint with police that his granddaughter was playing outside their house in New Cairo when a speedy car was about to hit her.

He added that the woman driving the car insulted him when he blamed her, and in the evening, her husband, a businessman, escorted by armed thugs, stormed their house and attacked them, he said.

The man, his wife and their son sustained injuries and their villa’s furniture was damaged in the attack.

The businessman and three of the attackers were arrested.
