Downpours in Pakistan have killed more than 69 people and injured 70 others. According to Pakistani newspaper (The Express Tribune), Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) warned that the death toll may rise as the meteorological department predicted more rains in the coming days. NDMA chairman Zafar Iqbal Qadir told the newspaper that rains also damaged over 7,000 houses and shops across the country. The heavy rainfall hit Karachi, Hyderabad, and several parts of Sindh and Punjab.
