The Anti-narcotics Directorate police arrested today an Asian man with 64 capsules of heroin hidden in his intestines. The Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) acted on information they had that an Asian was attempting to smuggle narcotic substances into Bahrain, The CID Director General said. On arrival at the airport, the suspect was searched and had his luggage examined but nothing was found in his possession, he added. He was, then, referred to the hospital where x-ray examinations revealed that he was carrying 65 capsules of heroin weighing around 384.3 grams. The case was referred to the Public Prosecution to take the necessary legal measures.
