A drug trafficker was killed Sunday during an attempt to smuggle 150 kg of Heroin.

The drug shipment came from Yemen and entered the country via the shores of south Shalateen.

The attempt was foiled by the southern Upper Egyptian branch of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control in cooperation with other security bodies.

A sniper rifle and a four-wheel drive were seized.
