The prime minister of the Tibetan government in exile paid tribute Wednesday to the \"courage\" of nine protestors who have set themselves on fire in China for the \"cause of Tibet\". Lobsang Sangay, speaking in the exile capital of Dharamshala in India, said a day of prayers had been organised \"in solidarity with those Tibetans who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Tibet and particularly those who self-immolated, their families and those suffering repression in Tibet\". He added: \"Therefore we pay homage to their courage and stand in solidarity with their indomitable spirit.\"
