Five members of a Canadian family in an SUV were killed in a fiery head-on collision with a tractor-trailer on a central British Columbia highway, police said. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said the sport utility vehicle crossed the center line of the road for no apparent reason and struck the semi Thursday, The (Vancouver) Province reported. The SUV wedged under the truck\'s trailer in a ditch and exploded into flames north of rural Williams Lake, witnesses told police. Three adults and two children in the SUV died at the scene but the truck driver wasn\'t injured, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. The intensity of the fire was so severe police couldn\'t initially determine what kind of vehicle the family had been in, RCMP Inspector Warren Brown told the broadcaster. The family was reportedly headed to Vancouver to watch a Davis Cup tennis match, the Province said.
