Five people died and five others were injured when a fire hit their house on Christmas day in northern Philippines, police said Sunday. Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said a blaze started at about 2:00 a.m. in a house in Calaocan village, Alicia town in Isabela province as some local families celebrated Christmas. Based on initial investigation, the fire could be due to electrical problem, Cruz said, adding those injured were immediately brought to a nearby hospital for treatment, while further investigation was ongoing.
