Five Houthi militants were killed Saturday in ongoing clashes with rebels loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh in Sanaa.

The clashes had broken out after thousands attended a rally in the capital to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Saleh's political party on Thursday, flouting a ban on such activity issued by the country's Houthi rebels days before.
