Four terrorists were killed in a firefight with police in the 6th of October city, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.
Two of the terrorists were involved in the terrorist attack that targeted a police patrol in Badrashin, Giza, killing five troops, the ministry said in a statement.
Police forces also arrested two terrorists, and seized four machine guns and a pistol at the scene.
The ministry stressed its determination to protect Egyptians from terrorist attacks, which aim at undermining the country's security and stability.
