Nigeria\'s police in northern Kano State on Sunday said three officers were killed by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members in Kano metropolis. State Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Idris told reporters on Sunday that the command succeeded in arresting 14 suspects of a syndicate. According to him, at least four suspected members of Boko Haram were gunned down during the combat operation, while the command lost three men. The commissioner also displayed seven riffles, including four AK 47, and 1,125 ammunition and nine magazines impounded in a series of raid in some hideouts in the city. Other items recovered from the suspects include 19 bags of ammonium chemicals, two already constructed bombs, one bag of iron scraps for making bomb, 20 bags of substance for making bomb, an international passport and one 25-litter jerry can containing chemicals and another two assembled bombs.
