A huge blaze broke out near Barcelona–El Prat Airport this afternoon with reports the fire broke out near a warehouse, the Sun newspaper reported.
Pictures quickly emerged on social media showing thick plumes of black smoke billowing above the Spanish airport just after 5:00 pm.
The cause of the blaze is unclear.
An airport source said no flights have been affected by the incident so far.
