Cairo - Egypt Today
The Jewish Synagogue in Alexandria will be renovated at a total cost of 100 million pounds.
The Armed Forces Engineering Authority handed over yesterday the Synagogue to Orascom and the Arab Contractors to put necessary equipment at the site in order to start the renovation process.
The renovation will take about eight months, said director of the Historic Cairo project Mohamed Abdel Aziz, adding that the project is funded by the Egyptian government.
The Antiquities Ministry will spare no effort in renovating the Jewish antiquities, adding that they are part of the Egyptian heritage.
