The total toll of flash flood fatalities in the Philippines reached 36 fatalities in the aftermath of floods surge caused by heavy torrential monsoon rains in the Capital, Manila, and northern parts of the country. Local authorities revealed that at least four people were reported missing in addition to at least 14 injuries. Also 23 flood victims died as a result of drowning and nine others were killed in landslides as well as three others who died as a result of inadvertent electrocution and another victim died from cardiac arrest. This year\'s flash floods in Manila are considered the worst since that of the year 2009 which resulted from Kinsata Typhoon and caused the death or loss of more than 500 persons in Manila and neighborly provinces. Seasonal rainfall began in Manila and other regions last week in the aftermath of Saola Typhoon which caused the demise of 53 persons.
