A man suffered serious burns after a manager at a Sydney McDonald\'s restaurant allegedly threw hot oil in his face, police said. Kings Cross police have yet to charge the manager, as they are still investigating whether the manager was acting in self defense, the Wentworth Courier, Alexandria, New South Wales, Australia, reported. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. Friday when the victim, who was moderately intoxicated, was ordering food with a friend at McDonald\'s. Police said the victim became involved in a verbal argument with the fast food restaurant\'s manager. The victim allegedly swore at the manager and threatened to kill him, the report said. The manager allegedly replied, \"If you come over the counter, I\'ll throw oil on you.\" Then, the victim allegedly jumped over the counter and manager threw the oil directly at the man\'s face. The oil caused serious burns to the victim\'s face, chest, torso and arms.
