The Knights Templar drugs cartel has put up signs in the Mexican State of Guanajuato saying it will temporarily hold off on violence to welcome Pope Benedict XVI, a Guanajuato State government source told Agence France-Press. The signs were seen in at least seven towns. The Knights Templar, named after the famous medieval military order, was set up last year in the state of Michoacán, which neighbors Guanajuato. The Pope is set to arrive to Mexico on March 23.
