The White House said Wednesday it was "ever vigilant" on security ahead of the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, but said there was no credible intelligence of an immediate threat. White House spokesman Jay Carney said President Barack Obama had chaired a meeting with senior national security aides on Tuesday to ensure all possible precautionary measures were taken ahead of events on Sunday to mark the attacks.
