A man was killed in an explosion that hit the provincial security directorate's maintenance facility in southeastern Turkish province of Diyarbakir on Tuesday, the regional governor's office said according to Anadolu Agency.
A civilian staff member succumbed to his wounds at a hospital, the office said in a statement. The blast occurred as an armored vehicle was undergoing repairs in Diyarbakir's Baglar district.
The cause of the explosion remains unknown. The building partially collapsed due to the explosion and damaged other structures and vehicles in the area.
