In a ceremony, Mayor of Quito accompanied with members of city council granted city Gold Key to visiting Iranian First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi and called him \'honorary citizen of the city\'. Agusto Derrera welcomed the Iranian VP and his accompanying delegation and called the visit as a sign of interest of senior officials of both countries for development of bilateral ties. He added that Iran and Equador\'s ancient civilizations have many commonalities to achieve humanitarian ideals. Rahimi arrived in Quito on Thursday evening.
