Two Libyan soldiers and seven Qatar-backed Chadian opposition militants were killed after clashes erupted on the border between Libya and Chad, military sources were quoted by the Dubai-based Al Arabiya television as saying.

The Libyan army destroyed a Chadian vehicle attempted to infiltrate into the Libyan territory, the sources added.
