The St. Patrick\'s Day revelry turned bloody in downtown Indianapolis Saturday night, when gunfire erupted and at least five teenagers were hurt, police said. Indianapolis Public Safety Director Frank Straub said someone in a car started shooting about 10 p.m. along the canal near New York and West streets on the west side of downtown, The Indianapolis Star reported. The newspaper said one victim was in critical condition. Police Sgt. Linda Jackson said all of the injured were 18 or younger. The shooting sent people fleeing and created a traffic jam as the area emptied out.
