Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt Thursday appointed Annie Loof as Minister for Industry and Lena Ek as Minister for Environment. The cabinet reshuffle was due to the change of the leadership of the Swedish Centre Party. Former leader Maud Olofsson has been replaced by 28-year-old Annie Loof, the youngest leader among the four party leaders in the Alliance government, who will also take care of the regional issue. Lena EK became Minister for Environment to replace Andreas Carlgren. Meanwhile IT Minister Anna-Karin Hatt will be responsible for energy issue, which was taken responsibility by Olofsson before, and become IT and Energy Minister. The ministers took their posts immediately after the announcement at a press conference in Stockholm.
