Russian president's envoy for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed in a phone call with Syria's Tomorrow Movement Head Ahmad al Jarba situation in Syria.

During the phone call, Bogdanov and Jarba agreed on the need to strengthen the ceasefire in Syria, Sputnik quoted a statement by the Russian foreign ministry on Monday.

As well, they mulled prospects of a Syrian-led political process aiming at settling the Syrian crisis that goes in line with the UN resolution number 2254, the statement added.
