Three people were killed after a fire broke out in a residential building on early Tuesday in the south of the Russian capital, a spokesman for the Moscow emergency situations department said. He said firefighters received a call about the fire, which broke out on the 13th floor of a 14-storey residential building in the Biryulyovo district, at 4:04 a.m. (12:04 GMT). After the fire was put out some 40 minutes later, firefighters discovered one female and two male dead bodies, the spokesman said. Firefighters also rescued a woman, who ran to the balcony after the fire started in the apartment. He added that investigators are now establishing what caused the fire.
