Tunisia and Britain have confirmed the importance of fighting the ideologies of terrorist groups.

The remark was made on Wednesday at a meeting between Tunisian Minister of Relations with Constitutional Bodies and Civil Society Mehdi Ben Gharbia with British Minister of State for Security Affairs Ben Wallace in London.

The two sides discussed means of confronting warped ideologies promulgated by Daesh terrorist group and other terrorist organizations, according to a statement issued by the Tunisian Ministry of Constitutional Bodies and Civil Society.

The two sides held that terrorism is defying all values of democracy, human rights and tolerance.

Gharbia said that Tunisia is adamant about uprooting terrorism through cooperation with its international partners in this domain.

For his part, Wallace expressed satisfaction over Tunisia's keenness on fighting terrorism, voicing Britain's willingness to maintain its support for the Tunisian efforts on this score.
