Cairo - Egypt Today
Two militants of Hasm Movement (an armed group affiliated with the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood) were killed Saturday in a firefight with security forces in Badrasheen township of Giza governorat.
Reports provided by the Homeland Security sector revealed that the two militants were holed up in a hotbed in Badrashin, the source added.
The militants opened fire on the forces when they approached the building to arrest them, the source said, adding that the forces returned the fire, killing the two militants.
Arms and ammunition were seized in the apartment, the source said.
On Friday, two non-commissioned police officers and three conscripts were killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them at a security checkpoint in the same district.
On February 11, an Egyptian court banned "Hasm Movement" for claiming responsibility for deadly attacks and assassination attempts of public figures.
