The U.S. Army will end its 10-year relationship with NASCAR, the racing organization\'s Web site announced Tuesday. The Newman-Haas racing team said the Army would not be sponsoring its entry, driven by Ryan Newman, next year, citing a reallocation of the military\'s marketing budget. The decision comes as two members of Congress, Reps. Betty McCollum (D-Minn.) and Jack Kingston (R-Ga.) seek to disengage the military from a promotional presence in car racing, bass fishing and other sporting events. The Representatives argue the sponsorships do not lead to increased recruitment, the Washington newspaper The Hill reported Tuesday.
