American Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in Panjsher of the central Afghanistan was attacked on Saturday morning, and at least three suicide attackers were killed and two security guards were injured, local TV channel Tolo reported. The attack broke off in Dashti Rokha area of the Panjsher Province, a most peaceful province located some 200 km north of capital Kabul in the central part of Afghanistan. The first suicide bomber detonated at the gate of the PRT, while the other two were killed in the following confrontation, according to the report. NATO-led PRT first introduced into Afghanistan early 2002 is a unit consisting of military officers, diplomats, and reconstruction subject matter experts, working to support reconstruction efforts.
