Egyptian Major General Azza al-Jamal, Director of the General Directorate of Police Hospitals in the Medical Services Sector at the Ministry of Interior, confirmed that its objective in its job position is to provide distinguished medical services in all police hospitals to all members of the police force, whether officers, recruits or individuals.
She added, in an interview with “Egypt Today”, she aims to achieve its career objectives through training the human element of doctors and nurses through the contract of cooperation protocols with public and private universities and workshops with all medical institutions in the country to benefit from the experiences of others.
She stressed that the work of doctors and nurses is linked to the patient's life and health, which requires firmness so as not to make mistakes that may endanger the lives of patients.
She clarified that she surprises doctors within the operating room by their presence, attending operations for the patients, and ensuring the provision of medical services to them and their treatment and care. She added that the staff are very surprised to find their presence inside the reception departments to ensure that the patient is well received and provided with all the care, doctors in all police hospitals.
As for her promotion to the rank of Major General, she said that it was an important step in the history of the Ministry of the Interior when she raised the slogan of farewell to discrimination and changed the view to the officer, but the officer file was not seen when upgrading to the rank of brigade.
She added that the rank of Major General placed many responsibilities and concerns more because it may be the reason to circulate the slogan goodbye to discrimination and preserve it or return to discrimination again and be satisfied with the rank of Dean and then go to the pension so it was designed to succeed to open the door for all officers.
