Egyptian designer Youssra Abdel Rahman revealed that she presented a number of accessories on the occasion of the Muslim holy month of fasting of Ramadan using colored foam.
She said, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, “It was expected that I would present a new set of accessories to revive the old fashions, as I did during the recent years, while I decided to take different approach this year to present a different and untraditional idea.”
She added that the collection she presents this year focuses on the Arab woman and her position during Ramadan, as she presented a design for a woman carrying Ramadan lantern and a crescent, saying that she used self-lit colors to color the lantern.
She painted designs for the rituals of the holy month between the prayer and praise and read the Koran to the woman's pregnant crypt in addition to the woman carrying teapot which is the predominant tradition in all Arab homes after Taraweeh prayer with Eastern sweets.
She added that she depended in her designs on oriental costumes embroidered with gold thread and added many ores such as silver, onyx and copper threads.
She also revealed to “Arab Today” her collection of accessories with aromatic smell ,making it the first of its kind in the field ,adding that the idea came to her when she bought a collection of small bottles filled with glitter and colored sand.
She put essential Oil in the bottles with some glitter to make it spark ,along with the pieces of own of her necklaces ,adding that the material she uses for designing is colored Foam ,which is more like a sponge, so it absorbed all the essential oil.
