Red carpet favorite Beirut - Arabstoday With the eyes of the world focused on the Academy Awards celebration, Piaget once again proved to be a red carpet favorite for Hollywood’s biggest night. Kicking it off was the arrival of Best Supporting Actress nominee, Janet McTeer, who stepped onto the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre dazzling photographers and fans in 47-carats of Piaget diamonds. Nominated for playing a man in “Albert Nobbs,” the British actress looked every bit the leading lady in Piaget’s Diamond Light Garland earrings, handcrafted in 18-carat white gold and set with 90 brilliant-cut diamonds and 12 marquis-cut diamonds. She paired them with Piaget’s Diamond. Light Garland bracelet in 18-carat white gold and set with 101 brilliant-cut diamonds and 9 marquis-cut diamonds, and a matching Diamond Light Garland ring in 18-carat white gold and set with 29 brilliant-cut diamonds and 3 marquis-cut diamonds. For the ultimate accent to their tuxedos, two of Oscar’s Best Actor nominees fittingly chose timepieces from Piaget’s Black Tie collection. Handcrafted in 18-carat white gold, the modified tank style watch features a unique 30 seconds retrograde counter at 12 o’clock and a date window at 6 o’clock. His unique and elegant Piaget Rectangle à l’Ancienne handcrafted in white gold, also featured a 30 second retrograde counter at 12 o’clock and a date window at 6 o’clock, along with a power reserve indicator on the dial. Ms. Harris perfectly accented her midnight blue gown with Piaget’s Rose Blue Profusion earrings, handcrafted in 18-carat white gold and set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds, 12 pear-shaped blue sapphires and featuring two roses carved in white chalcedony.
