Jewelry designer Radwa Al-Mehy revealed to “ Arab Today” her spring collection ,saying that it is inspired from popular folklore, Mandela drawings and Bohemian style.
She said that every spring she goes with flowers with different shapes and colors ,but this year she preferred a different style to complete her Mothers’ Day collection “ Queens’ magic” ,so she designed a modern one with a traditional touch from the famous Indian geometric drawings .
She used Indian cosmic symbols of nature ,which are accurate engravings balanced with a specific system ,to create the traditional palm shape design ,but with Mandela drawings ,covered with natural Turquoise stones ,combing between the Egyptian and Indian heritage .
From province of Bohemia ,in Czechoslovakia she was inspired to make a Bohemian design with an Egyptian touch ,using the idea of overlapping gradients of irregular colors randomly in degrees of muff and blue. She added the handmade pharaonic Ain Horus to the design to make it the first of its kind.
She used the Islamic drawings of the Egyptian folklore to make a new design with cheerful colors and handmade Spring flowers with colors of the Islamic geometric drawings. The design is covered with gold leaves to give it that classy touch .
From the particular precision of the Roman statues ,she used this idea to decorate her 100% handmade design with irregular and different shapes ,yet united together ,making a very sophisticated design .
She added that she is using her designs to make women from all over the world ,know different heritages through every piece ,and giving them the chance to feel like queens from different eras.
