New York - Arab Today
Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed bin Helli praised on Friday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's participation in the meetings of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
"This participation proves that Egypt began to restore its role at the international level," bin Helli said in statements from New York.
He added that Sisi will represent all Arab countries in this international gathering in his capacity as chairman of the Arab summit.
Sisi's participation in the UN meetings shows that Egypt began to 'move Arab diplomacy' and 'interact with international one,' he noted.
Bin Helli highlighted that the nomination of Egypt for a seat at the UN Security Council will help it play a basic role in a number of international issues and maintain Arab and African presence at the international forums.
