Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese sent a congratulatory cable Monday to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over the success of the Egypt Economic Development Conference, which wrapped up Sunday in Sharm el Sheikh.
In the cable, the Pope congratulated Sisi on this unprecedented achievement and wished the country continued progress and prosperity.
He also hailed the organization of the conference, which showed the Egyptians' abilities under the wise leadership of the president.
