Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday offered his condolences to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over the victims of the train collision in Alexandria.

In a cable, Abbas also offered his condolences to the Egyptian people and the families of the victims. He wished the injured a speed recovery.

Earlier, an Alexandria-bound train coming from Cairo crashed into another one while being on the way from Port Said to Alexandria, leaving 36 dead and 123 injured.
