The Afghan Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah condemned today’s deadly suicide car bombing in Kabul, calling the attack a clear sign of terror groups in battlefield against the Afghan forces.
He urged the political elites to prioritize the national interests and defy terror attacks, insisting that the Afghan forces have clear orders to destroy enemies anytime and anywhere in the country, Afghan News Agency (Khaama) reported.
Abdullah further added that the "Afghan National Defense and Security Forces will answer enemy’s bullet with a bullet", condemning the brutal attack on the Directorate of Security for Prominent Figures as "off-cast, cussed, hated and anathematized".
He said "Today’s attack in Kabul signals the losses, weakness and defeats the terrorists in battlefields against our heroic security forces". A suicide bomber detonated a vehicle packed with explosives near the Directorate of Security for Prominent Figures in Pul-e-Mahmood Khan area of the city earlier today.
At least 200 people were reportedly killed or wounded in the attack with majority of the victims comprising of ordinary civilians. The Taliban group claimed responsibility behind the attack as gun battle still continues in the area to eliminate the remaining militants resisting the Afghan forces.
