AL condemns repeated Israeli incursions

The Arab League (AL) condemned Monday the repeated Israeli incursions into Al Aqsa Mosque.
AL Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and the occupied Arab territories Affairs Saed Abu Ali said that Israel insists on the spatial and temporal division of Al Haram Al Sharif and is deliberately planning to continue its Judaization of Al Quds.
Abu Ali added that the unprecedented incidents that recently took place in Al Quds were a blatant attack against the rights of the Palestinian people and Muslims and a violation of all international covenants and resolutions.
Speaking about the pressure that the United States brought to bear on the Palestinian authority, Abu Ali stressed that the Palestinian people and authority will not give in to the pressures that violate the rights of Palestinians and undermine the legitimacy of their national struggle and identity.
Abu Ali stated that the AL is taking a number of decisions and resolutions to support Palestinians, including the resolution adopted at the recent Amman summit which is aimed at doubling the funds for the People of Al Quds.
On July 15, Israeli police forces cancelled Friday noon prayers in Al Aqsa Mosque and detained Jerusalem's top Muslim leader after three Palestinians and two Israeli police officers were killed in a gun battle in the mosque compound.
