Morocco flatly condemned the firing of a ballistic missile by the Houthi militia against populated zones in Saudi capital Riyadh, the country's official news agency quoted the ministry of foreign affairs as saying in a statement.

"Morocco reiterated its unwavering solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its fight against anything that could undermine the security of its territories and disturb its populations," it added.

Morocco also voiced its deep concern over this dangerous escalation which further worsens the Yemeni crisis, undermines the region's stability and increases the sufferings of the brotherly Yemeni people, the statement concluded.
