The cabinet condemned on Wednesday the terrorist attack that targeted a hotel in Arish, North Sinai, early on Tuesday.
A booby-trapped vehicle exploded outside the Swiss Inn hotel on Tuesday morning, where judges overseeing the parliamentary vote were staying.
The attack left seven people dead, including two judges and four policemen.
Egypt's judges, alongside the army and police personnel, are taking the lead in the fight against "forces of darkness", the cabinet said.
It added that such terrorist attacks will not affect the determination of the Egyptian people to uproot terrorism.
