Egypt on Sunday condemned the shootout at a church in the US Texas state that left at least 27 dead and 24 others wounded.

In a press release, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry voiced its sincere condolences to the US administration and the families of victims, asserting Cairo’s stance in support of the American people.

Such criminal attacks jeopardize world peace and stability, the statement said, adding that the international community shall intensify efforts and take a serious and immediate action in face of terror.
