The Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the trampling of Muslim worshipers in Finsbury Park in northern London in the wee hours of Monday morning.
The assault left one person dead and eight more injured.
Egypt’s expresses its solidarity with the British government and people as well as the families of the victims during this ordeal, the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry renewed Egypt’s rejection to all forms of terrorism, the intimidation of innocent people as well as discrimination against people on the bases of race, gender or creed.
Such incidents pose a threat to the security and stability of societies, the statement read.
The Foreign Ministry further warned from Islamaphobia, urging the international community to unite so as to fight terrorism.
