Egypt vehemently condemned on Wednesday the killing of nine Libyan soldiers and two civilians by the terrorist Daesh group in Al Jafra area in the Libyan Desert.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry offered its deep condolences to the bereaved families of the victims, pledging Egypt's solidarity with the Libyan government and people in the face of terrorism.

All these terrorist crimes will not undermine the will of the Libyan national army and people to fight terrorism, the statement added.

It asserted Egypt's support for Libya in reaching a national consensus and rebuilding state institutions.
